Just like any other great city of America , Chicago has a lot of attractions to keep its tourists engaged throughout their stay. No matter what your interests are, you will always find something interesting here. This is one city from where, I am sure, you can't return complaining that you had nothing to do and you spent your holidays snoozing and boozing in your hotel room, unless this is what a ‘holiday' means to you! And, when in Chicago , never complain that you couldn't visit this or that place because of the scarcity of any public means of transport or the areas were not well connected from your hotel. Nobody will believe you! I am telling you from my own experience, Chicago happens to be the most well planned city in the world with the most easily accessible areas. Moreover, unlike most of the cities of United States , Chicago boasts of the best transportation system in the country. Here, you won't have to hire a car every time you want to visit any tourist spot. So, if you want to enjoy a cycle ride along Lake Michigan , or down around the Loop when the weather also complements your fine, jubilant mood, just hire a cycle and go ahead! There is nothing that can stop you from enjoying your stay in the city! But, before starting your exploration of the city, I will suggest to make a list of the best attractions you want to see in Chicago . This way, you can plan your outing in a logical way and visit more places than usual. There are all kinds of paid and free tourist spots; the choice is yours. If you ask me, Navy Pier at 600 East Grand Avenue , 0.4 miles from Embassy Suites Downtown is the best place to start the tour of the city. You can enjoy with the whole family. This park, spread over an area of 50 acres on the shores of Lake Michigan , offers all kinds of entertainment, dining, shopping, cruises, and events. Originally constructed in 1916, it has undergone several changes of both military and commercial nature. Now, after a multimillion dollars restoration work, it has become one of Chicago 's hottest entertainment and convention centers. All the children from six to sixty years of age can enjoy a ride on the giant Ferris wheel and Carousel housed within this complex. There are many other attractions in its close vicinity that will keep you and your kids enthralled for many hours. You can visit the Chicago Children's Museum, located only a short distance away from Embassy Suites Downtown, or the Skyline Stage near Ritz Carlton Chicago or Joe's Be-Bop Cafe & Jazz Emporium that is located only a few miles away from Four Seasons Hotel Chicago. Fireworks, summer concert series, and numerous other events take place on every Wednesday and Thursday night besides daily boat cruises. Don't hire a taxi service to visit this place, just board a CTA bus and reach the place. There are, at least, Four CTA bus lines that are ever ready to take you to the front of Navy Pier.
